Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Beaton: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration | Suite101.com
is a wonderful exhibition at the V&A Museum. The display includes photographs of the Queen and the Royal Family taken by Cecil Beaton over a thirty-year period.
Some are gracious, formal, and stage set, whilst others are personal, informal, almost intimate. The Queen is shown as monarch, mother and wife.
This is a good way to start of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration year.

Estorick Collection Presents Alberto Burri Form and Matter | Suite101.com : WTF
The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art presents an exhibition entitled Alberto Burri: Form and Matter. Alberto Burri (1915-1995) is one of the most important artists of the post-war period and his work stands out because of his use of scrap materials, such as metals, sackings, iron and wood. The exhibition will be on show until 8th April 2012.

The Avon Valley Railway is a working steam train museum where visitors will enjoy Britain's preserved railway history in working condition. Ride on working steam trains painstakingly preserved by dedicated volunteers. There are plenty of other great activities ranging from face painting and magic shows to Punch and Judy.
