View Katsushika Hokusai's iconic print, The Great Wave, at the British Museum.
The print, which comes from a series known as the 'Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji' (ca. 1826-33), is probably one of the best-known images in the world. '
'The Great Wave' shows the power of the sea. Fishermen cower in skiffs alongside Mount Fuji. The mountain appears to be dwarfed by the wave, and heavy spray, which looks like snow, falls from the sky onto the mountain's peak.
Entry to the installation is free and the print can be viewed until 8th January 2011.
